The Short - An Online Cinema for Short Films

The Short is about creating a curated online cinema for Short-Films!
A place where you can watch the best Shorts on demand and where film-makers get much needed funding for their projects!
2.The World needs this.
If film-makers want to publish films online, the only option they have right now is to give their films away for free on youtube or vimeo etc.
We think that great Shorts deserve to be paid for!

That's why we want to build
The Short, to raise the profile of independent film-making, deliver great quality Short-Films and pay the film-makers for their awesome work!
3.How it will work.
To watch shorts, users would be able to pay per view ( £ 0.50,- per film ) or subscribe to a membership for £ 3-5 a month.
The turnover of the business would be split between the running of the website and the film-makers.

Because the project is just starting out,
this might be subject to change.

The Short is a project by Julian Krispel-Samsel. Other than being a webdesigner/developer, Julian is studying Animation at the Royal College of Art.
This project has been shortlisted for the 'Deutsche Bank Awards' and this website is part of his pitch to win the funding and support of Deutsche Bank.
